JiJi is the master's nickname.
Jilber Sucuyan began his trade in 1979, still in primary school, at his father's side. He spent his summers and spare hours after school in the workshop.
In 1992 he opened a workshop in Çuhacı Han together with his older brother. Because his schoolmates called him JiJi, the company was registered under that name. As work grew, the atelier moved to the Kuyumcular Çarşısı near Nuruosmaniye Street.
He still works with traditional methods. In the pieces he signs, you will see the marks of handwork and technology together.
